Blue-green faience amulet of Thoth, god of wisdom, knowledge and magic. The scorekeeper of the Last Judgment was often zoo anthropomorphous with a head of an ibis or baboon. In the Museum of Slavonia‘s collection, he appears with ibis’ head. His face is highly stylized with unremarkable physiological features.
Thoth‘s left foot is forward. He is naked from the waist up, wearing only a skirt decorated with shallow vertical lines. There is a scarf on his head that falls forward over his shoulders. His arms are tightly drawn to his body. At the back, as some kind of shoulder support, there is a perforation for the amulet string in line with his shoulders.
