Scarab
Scarab made of a black stone. According to the form and details artefact shows the beetle of the genus scarabeus venerabilis. This type is most often represented in Egyptian culture and art. Processing of the upper surface shows a thin line that divides the thorax (chest piece) of elitre. The lower surface is flat and smooth, without any engraving. Scarab is all preserved and in very good condition.

Acquisition: Gift of a private person to the Varaždin City Museum in 2005.
